Louisiana : Tourist Attractions

Louisiana is divided into five distinct regions, each region offering a variety of attractions and activities for the visitor. Greater New Orleans in southeast of Louisiana is the most remarkable and the most popular visited region of Louisiana. Its deep connection with French and Spanish roots makes most Europeans love this region. National D-day Museum, Audubon Zoo, Preservation Hall, New Orleans Children’s Museum are some of the must-see attractions of this region. Cajun Country stretching across the Gulf of Mexico up to South Central Louisiana has beautiful scintillating music, and spicy flavors to offer. Acadian Village, Mississippi Mud Museum and wildlife adventure make up Cajun Country. Plantation Country in southeast Louisiana is marked by palatial estates, plantations and gardens. You can travel back in time by visiting places like Oak Valley, Nottoway Plantations, and Houmas House. The fourth region of Louisiana, Crossroads, at the junction of two historic trails – Louisiana-the El Camino Real and the Natchez Trace gives visitors a taste of all the good things of Louisiana.

The Northern Louisiana or better known as Sportsmen Paradise is an ideal place for nature lovers, birdwatchers, photographers and campers. It is also an ideal place in Louisiana to enjoy nightlife, casinos or gaming in the twin cities of Shreveport and Bossier City.Louisiana is divided into five distinct regions, each region offering a variety of attractions and activities for the visitor.
